If you're like most people, the first thing that catches your eye is probably your least favorite thing. You're not the only one, either. Each year, a lot of money is spent by advertisers selling us the idea of the "ideal" image of beauty. From your earliest childhood days you've been bombarded with images telling you what you are supposed to look like. Most of these images are impossible to live up to. We consciously know that the models don't even look like that in real life. Yet these are beliefs that we grew up with and they are ingrained in our subconscious mind. In effect, we were hypnotized by the media. When you stop beating yourself up and start loving yourself, it becomes easier to lose weight.
Here are three ways that you can begin to love yourself.1. Look in the mirror, standing far enough away so that you can take it all in. What do you see? Find at least three positive things.2. Now, get up close. Look at your eyes...what color are they? How would you describe them using positive adjectives? What does your smile convey? Warmth? Happiness? 3. Say out loud the following affirmations: "I enjoy the way my body is looking more every day." "I love myself now and that allows me to love myself at any weight." "I have a high self esteem." "My high self esteem gives me more self respect." "Since I respect myself, I choose to be slender and attractive." Pay particular attention to the last tip. The use of affirmations will help to change the beliefs you hold in your subconscious mind. Beliefs that hold you back from your weight loss. Start a daily practice of self hypnosis by finding a quiet place where you can relax and repeat the affirmations. It's a bit like meditation except that you create and repeat affirmations out loud. Carry the list of affirmations with you and say them out loud a few times a day. This process works really well though some find it much easier to purchase an audio created by a master hypnotist so you can sit back and allow yourself to be guided through the process. Loving yourself is the best tip of all to help women lose weight. After all, losing weight is all about feeling good and when you love yourself, you feel fantastic. Weight loss for women is all about loving and accepting yourself. Then the good habits will fall into place and you'll begin to lose weight.
