Insights of Learning Hypnosis
Yes, it's possible to enjoy the mystery found in learning hypnosis. The possibilities are endless. It's nice to begin your training with a personal, live seminar like the one that I teach. Once you have learned the basics, it makes sense to expand and add depth to your level of understanding by reading, listening to cd's or watching dvd's. There are many hypnosis schools to choose from, both online and in person. I find that online courses lack the human interaction and practical application necessary to learn hypnosis. Yet they are a great way to refresh and build upon skills learned in person. CHOOSE YOUR HYPNOSIS SCHOOL
First, check the qualifications of your teacher. My mentor and trainer is Michael Bennett. He has trained many students for over thirteen years at the hypnosis school he founded. I am honored to spend time alongside him training students to receive their certifications in NLP, Hypnosis, Reiki and Life Coaching. Richard Bandler, the developer of NLP, had this to say about Michael "I highly recommend Michael Bennett of Bennett/Stellar University. He is continually updating his training with the most up-to-date skills I have developed and is one of the few centers licensed internationally through the Society of Neuro-Linguistic programming...” SET THE STAGE
You may think that hypnotism begins with the induction. It's not true. It actually begins with your surroundings. Have you have ever seen a stage hypnosis show? If so, you may have noticed that each detail is carefully prepared in advance to get the most interaction with the audience. First, think about the results that you want to achieve with your hypnosis practice. Then, set the stage for optimal results. Like actors in a play, you will want to set your stage to create an atmosphere for hypnotism. This includes choosing the right type of music. We chose one with binaural beats designed to enhance the experience by encouraging regression and trance. INDUCTIONS
This can be a lot of fun! There are numerous ways to induce a trance. You should learn more than one so that you can choose which ones work best for you. One of our past students, Sean Michael Andrews, has become an expert at inductions. His dvd products will teach you how to induce a trance in mere seconds. Here are just a few inductions that you can learn: - Instant
- Non-verbal
- Dave Elman
- Fractionation
- Hand Drop
- Arm Pull
RESULTS
Hopefully, you have taken the time to know what results your subject wants. Good: Many hypnosis courses will give you prewritten scripts embedded with suggestion. This can work quite well and might be a good place to start. Even better: Use hypnotic regressions to get to the root cause of the situation. This is where you can make the most effective changes. Best: Learn the skills of neuro linguisting programming (NLP) so that you can become an expert in creating suggestions that are customized to your subject. At our hypnosis school, we also teach such things as time line regression, metaphor, meta model and more so that you have a toolbox full of techniques to choose from. There are three things you must try when learning hypnosis: Practice! Practice again! Practice even more! You will notice as you are learning hypnosis that with practice, you will develop the insights leading to unconscious certainty and success.
