In Five Easy Steps

Here’s how to hypnotize yourself in five easy steps.

Self hypnosis is really easy to do once you get the hang of it.

how to hypnotize yourselfEvery time you talk to yourself (go ahead and admit it, we all do!) it’s a form of self hypnosis.

Each time you stumble off a curb and say under your breath “I’m clumsy” you reinforce that message to your subconscious mind. Unconsciously you’ll even begin to look for opportunities to prove your clumsiness.

The whole process happens without even consciously being aware of it.

Why Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a way to reprogram your subconscious mind with new thoughts that will lead you to take the right actions to achieve the goals you want.

Here’s How To Hypnotize Yourself:

  1. Set A Goal Why do you want to hypnotize yourself? What is your primary intention for the session? Stick to one issue per session. Don’t try to lose weight, stop smoking and eliminate stress all at once. Create a few positive statements.

  2. Get Comfortable Find a quiet place where you can get comfortable. It doesn’t matter if you are sitting down or lying down. You want to be somewhere where you will not be disturbed.

  3. Close Your Eyes Begin to pay attention to the tension in your body. Beginning at your toes, imagine all the tension melting away from your body. Move from your toes all the way to the top of your head relaxing each part as you go. You should now be very relaxed.

  4. Positive Statements Breathing deeply, repeat your positive statements out loud or to yourself. These positive statements are autosuggestions which will reprogram your subconscious mind.

  5. Open Your Eyes When you are satisfied that you have repeated your autosuggestions enough, simply open your eyes and bring your attention back to your surroundings.
You should now feel refreshed and focused on your goal.

This is a simplified version of self hypnosis. I like it because it’s one that you can easily practice on a daily basis.

Don’t worry if you don’t get the hang of it the first time, you will get better each time you practice. It is a lot easier to do with a hypnotist guiding you through the process whether in person or on an audio recording. It takes away the inner chatter as you wonder if you are doing it right.
