Give yourself some time to answer the following question and be sure to write it down. That's because when you write the answers down, they become real. They become tangible.

Make a list of 10 things that you are putting up with at home
Make a list of 10 things that you are putting up with at work
Make a list of 10 things that you are putting up with in any other area of your life
Make an action plan to get rid of these things that you have been putting up with. Sometimes it's just a matter of deciding not to do them. You can just mark certain tasks "complete", draw a line through them and move on.
Don't underestimate the power of this exercise. Once you get started you will be able to let go of some of the things that have been taking up your valuable attention and energy - giving you time and space to bring more of the great things you want into your life.
You'll notice that you have more time and energy to focus on what counts. You will be able to focus more on the here and now as well as the future. The result? More happiness! You'll be able to enjoy all that life has to offer.

Unless you are on a t.v. show, holed up in a canyon with personal trainers, doctors and nutritionists, you are not going to lose 10-15 pounds per week. Don't even think about it. Set small goals as you work your way towards a bigger goal.
First, chose the big picture goal. For example 'I want to lose fifty pounds in eight months'.
Then decide on a small goal for yourself. 'I want to lose two pounds in the next week'. When you reach this small goal, you'll have the feeling of success.
Celebrate each step of the way, you deserve it! This is going to make your journey more enjoyable.
Your weight loss motivation can dwindle unless you understand what moves you to take action.
It helps to understand if you are motivated by the carrot or the stick.

If you are motivated by the carrot, then you think in terms of moving towards your goal. You find your goals exciting and look forward to achieving them.
