It is the feeling that you have already
been there and done that.

It is a certain sensation or feeling
that this has already taken place when
you know it hasn’t.

Have you ever been eating dinner with friends discussing a certain topic and you get the feeling that you’ve already experienced this before? Same dinner and same topic?

It’s a momentary glimmer of a feeling
that this is familiar, yet you don’t know
what will happen next.

Maybe you have traveled halfway across
the world and stepped into a restaurant for the first time. You’re hit with a wave of familiarity, like you’ve been there before.

It’s an overwhelming sense of familiarity with something you know you should not be familiar with.

Déjà vu is the dim perception that you have already seen something that is being experienced for the first time.

Some theorize that you have been in a similar situation or even seen it in a movie. It may have occurred during daydream or meditation.

That feeling of strangeness is not present when one simply wonders if they have seen it before. It occurs because we don’t think we should feel familiar and we do.

More commonly, a spontaneous moment of déjà vu is thought of as momentary experience of a past life regression or reincarnation.

The uncanny feeling that one has been there before can be explained by the simple idea that one HAS actually been there before.

It may have been a few moments before, during childhood or it may have been many lives before.

We store bits and fragments of memories in our mind because we weren’t fully paying attention the first time around.

Not sure? Have you been introduced to someone at a party and a few minutes later you can’t remember their name? It’s because you weren’t fully paying attention.

The same thing happens in life. We aren’t fully paying attention and we’ve forgotten.

We end up carrying around many fragmented memories from this life as well as past lives.

The moment occurs because there is something familiar about the people, situation or surroundings. The memory bubbles up to the surface to be experienced again because it was not fully processed the first time around.

Déjà vu is often an insignificant moment in your life. It happens and you move on quickly forgetting about it.

Or it can be a momentary glimpse into a past life.
